i had just 'slipped beneath the surface' of sleep last night when this came 'floating by' (in no particular order)...

...linda goodman...gooberz...the 'mouse spouse' and the oreos story...'healthy' living...star signs...linda's admonitions about white flour and sugar being not-so-great for people...wondering if linda ever managed to achieve the diet she thought of as ideal...and if she did...isn't it strange that she should have 'died' of diabetes?

after watching this thoughtstream for a moment i felt sure that i should lexigram...something!...LINDA'S DIABETES maybe...

i don't have 'time' to do this right now; but i thought that perhaps, if the topic called to one of you, an interesting lexigram might result from your spiraling.

i'll try to give it a go myself at some point...and i look forward to any lexis y'all might present...

until then, peace to all...

This is what I spiraled for "LINDAS DIABETES"

IT SITS SILENT INSIDE
AN ENDLESS BEAST
BLIND BITES
A BAD DIET DISABLES
LINDA SEES IT IN A LENSE
SENSES A LIE
SENSES DETAIL

ELDEST DAD SENDS BEST
LINDA LISTENS
....SADNESS
SITS IDLE IN NEST
AIDED IN BED

AN ENDLESS DEBATE
INSISTs IT ISNT A SIN
DIDNT DIE - ISNT DEAD
_______________________________

SITS IN SAND
SEES A SEA

...A DENTAL BIND - A TIE ( )
SENT A SAINT

LANDED, LASTED, ELATED
BLISS INSIDE

SEATED SIDE BY SIDE
two crazy DAISIES -- BLENDED
SIT IN AN EDEN TIDELAND
AT AN ISLAND

SAID END IS A LIE!!!
END IS A BLESSED SEED
END ENABLES BLISS.........

D none of the above

Maybe the "dental bind" thingy refers to the toothache incident Linda and Robert experienced - Linda on the beach and Robert on his ship. I believe Linda considered that evidence of a "bind" or a "tie" between the two.

Thanks Randall.
Now, are you choosing not to take the quiz? You know that means you will get a zero for your quiz grade. You really cannot afford another zero at this point Randall. If you wish to pass the second grade - I will need to see a little more effort on your part. Lexigraming 101 used to be your best subject. Don't make me give you a detention.

TINK - well done. After all of the tests have been handed in you will recieve your results. You still have time to do the Extra Credit question. (and "thingy" is not a proper word) ----

Ms. 26t

Dear Ms 26

I respectfully submit that while "thingy" may not yet be considered a "proper" word, it is, nontheless, one of my very favorites. Therefore, I shall continue to use it and damn the fuddy-duddy grammarians!

In addition, I refuse to take part in the bonus question until one of the other students steps forth to take part in the discussion. This means you Randall.

Sincerely
tink

"Fuddy - Duddy" ???!!!?? --- Well I NEVER!

"Well class" (umm...TINK) "Randall has had some sort of freak accident, and he can now only express himself by pantomiming ---- using 'smilies' as his chief means of expression. I have decided to make a special exception for him - by allowing him to provide his answers in the form of 'smilies'. A minimum of 4 smilies per post is required, to ensure we can figure out the answer he is trying to convey. So Ranall - if you would - please, come up to the board and show us what youve got." ...............
