Well, there's lots I didn't know...A little voice spoke to me and made me find this tidbit of info regarding ELVIS. quote: Short version: Elvis had a fascination with death. He carried Cheiro's Book of Numbers with him everywhere (Cheiro thought death could be predicted with astrology). At a concert, the stage was rushed by masked men carrying machine guns. Elvis was shot repeatedly. He was covered in blood. Then he started laughing. He was a bit demented, but he could have easily faked his death right there. It was a heck of a sick joke. A personal GURU taught him how to lower his breathing and heartbeat to simulate death. Bruce Lee (yes, it's true) personally taught him martial arts lessons! After his mother died, Elvis lost his zest for fame. He had a very secret Life. Not a single fan knew this, but Elvis was an FBI agent. Yes, it's true. He wanted to join, but they denied him, so he went to his very good friend President Nixon, and was made an honorary FBI agent. Not content with simply BEing a token agent, Elvis participated in many drug busts as an informant for the DEA. There is some strong speculation that he was placed in Witness Relocation due to a botched conviction concerning a major Columbian druglord. He was overweight, but was in SUPERB health. He never took drugs (it was all a ruse so that he could get in good with top dealers). What do ya'll think? All of the above is true. Some of the next stuff is true, and other is speculation. Let's look at further details. Nobody EVER claimed his Life insurance policy. Faking death is not illegal (no law against it), but insurance fraud is! His middle name is misspelled on his tombstone (he was very superstitious and didn't want to curse himself). None of his very personal effects (things from his mother) were found at the house. Soon after, and still wanting to taste fame, he made regular appearances giving away gifts to strangers under the new name of John Burrows. His body was sweating at the funeral. Dead bodies DO NOT sweat, but wax figures do! The coffin was VERY heavy (possibly carrying an air conditioning unit inside of it). The funeral room was ICE COLD.

SunChild, where did you read that Bruce Lee taught Elvis Gung fu? I have never seen any article that stated that yet. there is a book called Bruce Lee-Words of the Dragon which list all articles written about Mr. Lee though they years 1958-1973. The book is loaded with footnotes by Bruce's wife Linda (who's maiden name was Emery...) about the truth of these article when they were printed. In those days, after Bruce Passed on, many people promoted that he taught them, but most of it was fictious. In fact The Washington Star ("sportsweek" section), August 16, 1970 stated, "Three of his pupils, Joe Lewis, Chuch Norris and Mike stone, have between them won every Major Karate tournament n the United States at least once. Lewis was Grand National champion three successive years. Lee Handles and instructs these guys as a parent would a young child." Linda States (Bruce's Wife): "The objective, third-party report on the nature of the teacher-student relationship between bruce lee and the three Karate champions cited is refreshing in light of the unwarranted clainms made after Lee's death by many of these same individuals that they had been Bruce Lee's "Teacher". For example, according to Bruce Lee's daytime diaries, Chuck Norris received personal instruction from Bruce Lee on October 20, Nov 17 and 24, and December 1, 1967; and January 5,19, and 31, 1968. There is no evidence, however; of Bruce recieving any type of instruction from Chuck Norris. I'd like the read the origin of that statement about ELvis is you have it. Many people said that they trained him, ,or he trained them and it was mostly false. For years, the rumor was that Chuck Norris had taught Bruce Lee during the filming of Return of the Dragon how to use the long kick and bruce had taught him the long kick. Let me know if you can, where you saw that. I will Ask one of Bruce's students in Oregon if he has heard this. Cheers IP: Logged |

It could be a rumor, but I read it in an interview in a martial arts mag (I think Chuck Norris was being interviewed, but I'm not sure). Supposedly, Lee taught Elvis how to lower his heartbeat and breathing, as well as other meditative techniques. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |
