I really do need to stop buying books. Half of the books that I have...I havent read...yet. Only way for me to get crackin is if I move to Nunavat or somewhere isolated from the rest of society, which may be a plausible option come September if I dont get hired around my area then. Plus I almost never read a book twice since there are too many books out there for me to read.Libraries are usually generous in the big cities. The libraries in my area...ahhh... so frustrating, especially when it comes to astrology and this sorta esoteric stuff. Will attempt to look for it there tomorrow. PS I swear I'm not cheap

My house is a habitrail of stacks and shelves and boxes of books! I keep buying them! I also use the library alot. I drive them nuts with my unusual requests and the amount I often check out all at once! Usually 3 to 21 or so! I am hungry for information on many serious subjects. I read 2000 books before I turned 16 years old. I've long since lost count. I to !!!!!IP: Logged |

Wow 2000 books before 16! I never counted, but Im pretty sure I never reached nearly as many books by that age. What kind of books do you read fayte.m? I speed read cuz I cant wait to learn something new (do have a habit of starting things and never fully finishing at once...I'll come back to it later on), but when I'm really studying something indepth I do go overboard. My hunger for knowledge doesn't let me sleep most of the time and my body suffers for it. Wish I could live off of 4 hours sleep a night and not be a zombie in the day. IP: Logged |

DayDreamer! Hmmmm...what do I read? Hmmmm where should I begin? Let me get back to you on that one! If I were to give a simple answer, it would be, none of the popular romance novels. No Westerns, unless it's biographical or real history. Archaeology, Books of all religions, Science, medicine, and Dictionaries!!!!! The Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire is light reading for me. Poetry, Philosophy, Ancient History...well you see where I'm going...Can't usually be reading one at a time, usually I'm reading whatever is in the room I'm in. So every room usually has a book I'm reading. Notebooks and pencils, highlighters, pens all over the place! Never know when I will want to take notes or marginalia something! What else?.. Some Science Fiction........Don't watch tv... Hmmmmm, I'll get back to you cause I'm rambling..... PS.if I seem a wee bit daffy brained today, it's because I had an abscessed wisdom tooth pulled a few hours ago.......OUCH! IP: Logged |

Hey...it's ok, I'm brain dead today too. Someone told me I look like I need sleep today. hahaha, wow he knows me well!! I get racoon eyes very easily. lol. hmmm...dictionaries, thats fascinating . I always wanted to read that one too (I'm being serious!!!) Trust me I've tried, and made it to somewhere probably around the mid A's. Like I said I'm pretty bad with finishing books. My mind and imagination wander too much if I'm not completely entralled in it. Romance is always good. Use to love reading about science and medicine, till I went to school for bio...Still read that stuff on occasion. I like all fields of anthropology...biological/physical, archaeological, cultural/social, etc. Oh and i'm an astrology addict. What sorta ancient history and archaeological books are good?? You reading soo many books at such a young age reminds me of a good friend of mine, however, she's really into science fiction now!! IP: Logged |
