OSLO, Norway - Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Friday, and the former vice president used the attention to warn that global warming is "the greatest challenge we've ever faced."

World leaders, President Bush among them, congratulated the winners, while skeptics of man's contribution to warming criticized the choice of Gore.

Gore in a statement said he was " deeply honored ... We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity."
"It is the most dangerous challenge we've ever faced, but it is also the greatest opportunity we have had to make changes," he later said at a brief news conference in Palo Alto, Calif.

Gore did not take any questions. As he walked away a reporter asked if he would run for president, but Gore did not respond.

Gore’s film "An Inconvenient Truth," a documentary on global warming, won an Academy Award this year. He had been widely expected to win the peace prize.

"His strong commitment, reflected in political activity, lectures, films and books, has strengthened the struggle against climate change," the Nobel citation said. "He is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted."

It cited Gore's awareness at an early stage "of the climatic challenges the world is facing."

The 'answers' I came up with all seem to relate to more 'ancient times' and biblical things. (You've probably already seen them on my EARTH GOLD message, but in the spirit of keeping this strand going, too, here's what I came up with:

I first started by lexigramming just the word EARTH, and here's what I came up with.
HE ATE THE HARE
HE ATE EARTH

It's strange, but the first sentance I wrote down, even before listing out all the possible words, was "He ate the hare." Even more strange, as soon as I wrote it my eyes teared up and I thought of the Adam and Eve story- that maybe she didn't tempt him with an apple, but that HE tempted her to eat meat...

When I added the word GOLD, I got
THE RED EARTH
THE DEAD EARTH
HE LED HER TO EAT DEATH
HE LED HER TO DEATH
DEAR GOD! HE DOTH LED HER!
HE LED HER TO EAT THE GOAT/LARD/RAT/HARE/DOG/HOG/TOAD
HEAT THE LOG,
EAT THE HOG

(and as a side note...)
HAROD LED THE REGAL LORD TO DEATH (!)
TREAD HARD THE ROAD (of) DEAR EARTH

It seems my higher elf that I was channelling kept leading me to the meat-eating subject, and since the words "HE" and "HER" can be made, but not "HIM" or "SHE" it seems plain that...

I felt compelled, even though I grew up in a Catholic school, going to Catholic church, and have long-"Out-grown" a belief in the story of creationism (or I thought I had...) I felt compelled to lexigram the words THE SIN, just to see what it would reveal, and got:

THE SIN IS HIS
HE SET THE NET (To trap the hare?)
SHE IS HIS SIN (Possibly it was worse to lead someone else to sin than just to sin himself, just as Eve is now thought a temptress for coaxing Adam to eat a piece of fruit, he was a tempter to coax her to eat meat. Since we live in a patriarchal society, and since we all know a lot was omitted from the bible (which Linda pointed out contains the word LIE) who knows, they probably switched Adam and Eve's role as a way of victimizing man and making an excust to repress woman.

But why did the world of tone permeate the dark watery core? Because one of the high sun-spirits had remained behind, binding his existence to the earth. This is the same spirit whom we know as Yahweh or Jehovah. Yahweh alone remained with the earth, sacrificing himself. It was he whose inner being resounded through the water-earth as shaping tone.
