This was sparked by watching Eckhart Tolle speaking at Findhorn. He spoke in part about how trapped people can become in forms ... not just physical reality but also thought forms. He referred to modern man always looking for more information and cautioned that it, too, is a form of thinking wherein, without caution, one can thus be lost IN FORMATION. I'm really rather paraphrasing but that's what inspired me to lexigram this word.

I am curious about your line "RATION AN ION ... NOT TOO FAR FROM MOON". What exactly did you mean by this?

I decided to exercise on this word, as well. Lexigramming really takes a bit of focus. I've forgotten how meditative it can be.

"RATION AN ION ... NOT TOO FAR FROM MOON"

I can't find whatever notes I took on it (another simple reminder today to get more organized) but here's a general idea.

As you know, an ion is an atom (or group of atoms) that has either lost or gained an electron thus producing a charge, positive or negative. In Greek, the word ion translates to something that goes. So what I ran with with this phrase was the idea of being careful (rationing) in the way we go about producing forms in this world, either simple matter creations (atoms again) or the less tangible idea of attributing the ideas of "positive" and "negative" to our creations or those around us. The rest was rather a reminder to not lose touch with our intuition due to the aforementioned creation of/attribution to forms ... the moon representing intuition to me (among other things) and naturally remembering that we are never "too far" from our spiritual reality.

I didn't want to read too much into that part of your lexi, which is why I asked if you could explain it more. I thought you may have been referencing caution with nuclear energy. It's much more refreshing from your perspective.

My take on Orion's presence: I focused mostly on the Greek version (although there's such a vast realm of possibility if you expand on the constellation's interpretation all over the world). It was Orion's hubris that I focused on and it was this idea of arrogance and fervent, violent obsession that I focused on in my interpretation:
FORM FOR FORM, A NOTION FOR ORION IN MAN
(The common obsession with information and the belief that its accumulation merits the gain of knowledge and wisdom is quite reflective of Orion's errors in the myth.)

I also used Orion as the image which he stands for, a great hunter in league with gods. That's the meaning I intended for the line "MAN TORN FOR ORION, A RANT IN FORM".
In other words, a reference to the psychological struggle under the umbrella of the grandest archetypes.

I am curious, of course, for your take on Orion's presence.

Like you, I initially also thought of man's tendency towards hubris ... the creation of forms by us destroying all the "beasts of the Earth". We, then, being "torn" for our "forms" and quite extravagant and vehement it can be, even our defense of such form.

You took the words right out of my heart, Eleanore. I also had thought of the connection with the Egyptian's interpretation. I've been doing so much spiraling that I've become nauseous from it. Let's see...

The constellation, as you stated, was connected to Osiris for the Egyptians. According to their myth, the stars are Osiris's "pieces" flung into the sky by Isis, once she had found his body, and transforming him into the god of the underworld.
What I find most interesting are many things:

-According to some research, the constellation was interpreted previously as a Great Shepherd of the Heavens. This was either by the Babylonians or Akkadians. I have not been able to confirm. (This is a most uncanny connection, coming from a Christian perspective.)

-The presence of Scorpius is also peculiar. The Greek interpretation is well-known, but I've struggled to find any other interpretations of the constellation. Antares, or the "rival of Ares", is a star in this constellation. I couldn't help notice this since, in astrology, the presence of Scorpio and Aries in a chart is often an index of militaristic connections.

-The star Betelgeuse, in the Orion constellation, was known in Arabic as "Yad al Jauza". Apparently, the exact meaning of this is a bit confusing as their are many accounts of the words' definition. The only clear meaning I have found is "hand of the central one", but as to what this is in reference to I do not know. Some sources indicate that this is in reference to a feminine being.

-Two other stars, one in Orion (Bellatrix) and one around it [Sirius (or SIRIOS )], make me wonder a bit about J.K. Rowling.

-Another presence in that area is that of the constellation Cetus. Not only is the name of that brother of Osiris, ever-so-needing of forgiveness, present in the lexi of this constellation, but the very pronunciation of it's first syllable is a homonym of it as well. It would be too lackadaisical an act if this was overlooked. One thing I would stress from this is the Sumerian interpretation of the constellation as Tiamat, the female deity that becomes villanized as a sea monster. We now know it as the whale, a sea creature known to us as the closest explanation for these ancient references. IMO, it is a connection that seems to point out the psychological reaction of mankind towards the female aspect of divinity, an event that has caused anyone who mentions a belief in such a force to be stigmatized to this day.

The Bible word is not REVELATION(S) plural;
IT IS REVELATION singular.
If however you are using it in a NON BIBLICAL sense;
RevelationS is fine.
