I see we have a new banner from Al Gore!
So in that light I am reposting the following!

Calligram/Lexigram/Graphic

Gore, U.N. climate panel win Nobel Peace Prize
Warming is ‘greatest challenge’ ever, he says, earning praise and criticism
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21262661/

OSLO, Norway - Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Friday, and the former vice president used the attention to warn that global warming is "the greatest challenge we've ever faced."

World leaders, President Bush among them, congratulated the winners, while skeptics of man's contribution to warming criticized the choice of Gore.

Gore in a statement said he was " deeply honored ... We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity."
"It is the most dangerous challenge we've ever faced, but it is also the greatest opportunity we have had to make changes," he later said at a brief news conference in Palo Alto, Calif.

Gore did not take any questions. As he walked away a reporter asked if he would run for president, but Gore did not respond.

Gore’s film "An Inconvenient Truth," a documentary on global warming, won an Academy Award this year. He had been widely expected to win the peace prize.

"His strong commitment, reflected in political activity, lectures, films and books, has strengthened the struggle against climate change," the Nobel citation said. "He is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures that need to be adopted."

It cited Gore's awareness at an early stage "of the climatic challenges the world is facing."

EARTH HEART GOLD

EAR can be made from the letters in Earth or Heart.
HEART and EARTH are "perfect" Anagrams of each other, in the letter sense.
EAR:
The ear is the sense organ that detects sound. The vertebrate ear shows a common biology from fish to humans, with variations in structure according to order and species. It not only acts as a receiver for sound, but plays a major role in the sense of balance and body position.

The word "ear" may be used correctly to describe the whole vertebrate ear, or just the visible portion. In most animals, the visible ear is a flap of tissue that is also called the pinna. The pinna may be all that shows of the ear, but it has only a tiny role in hearing and none at all in the sense of balance. In people, the pinna is more often called the auricle.

I find it interesting too that an EAR is also:
"The top part of a grain plant, such as wheat. The ear contains the seeds."

~See how it all links back to Earth, sound, sense of hearing, sense of balance, balance of the ecosystem,
life, both animal and plant.~

AURAL
Of or relating to the ear or to the sense of hearing.
AURICLE
1.Auricle:
Small ear-like projections. Found at the junction of the blade and the sheath in grasses. See drawing of parts of a grass plant.

2.Auricle:
The ear-like extension of the hinge found on some clams. See clams.

3.Auricle:
a small conical pouch projecting from the upper anterior part of each atrium of the heart.

4.Auricle:
The externally visible cartilaginous structure of the external ear

Now to return to the concept of the ear and our sense of,
Sound.
I do vibrational lexigramming. No letters are required from the source intitially. Only sound. It crosses all language barriers. Even animal speak can be lexigrammed this way. Any sound can be.
v(((< )<( 8 )> )))v=L=w v((({{<(<0=s=L=w

NOW ON TO SOUND.
EARTH/HEART/GOLD sounded right to me.
v(((< )(s/oO\s)(> )))v s+)oO(=L=w

AURUM=GOLD
AURUM lexigrams to:
UR AUM.
The "UR song" is a sound sung by newborns.
The oldest known music is also called The UR song . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_music http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aum
Aum, ; (also Om) is the most sacred syllable in Hinduism, symbolizing the infinite Brahman and the entire Universe. This syllable is sometimes called the "Udgitha" or "pranava mantra" (primordial mantra), because it is considered by Hindus to be the primal sound, and because most mantras begin with it. It first appeared prominently in the Vedic Tradition. As a seed syllable (bija mantra), it is also considered holy in Esoteric Buddhism.

AUM=OM as many say it.

Some interesting allusions to Aum and sound and spirituality:
~In Search of the Lost Chord~

In Search of the Lost Chord, released in 1968, was The Moody Blues' third album. It has twelve tracks, with a total running time of 42:07. The album was published by Deram Records.

(personally I find the 42:07.interesting as DNA in Hitchhiker's Guide to The Universe refers to 42 as "THE" answer)

The album is considered by some to be a concept album because several of the tracks deal with the theme of a person's search for spiritual fulfillment. Another concept dealt with in the album is the search for a mythical "lost chord," which is revealed to be the mantra "Om" (in the last stanza of Graeme Edge's poem "The Word"). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Search_of_the_Lost_Chord

Moody Blues OM lyrics

The rain is on the roof
Hurry high butterfly
As clouds roll past my head
I know why the skys all cry
OM, OM, Heaven, OM
The Earth turns slowly round
Far away the distant sound
Is with us everyday
Can you hear what it say
OM, OM, Heaven, OM
The rain is on the roof
Hurry high butterfly
As clouds roll past my head
I know why the skys all cry
OM, OM, Heaven, OM

Moody Blues The Word lyrics

This garden universe vibrates complete.
Some we get a sound so sweet.
Vibrations reach on up to become light,
And then thru gamma, out of sight.
Between the eyes and ears there lay,
The sounds of colour and the light of a sigh.
And to hear the sun, what a thing to believe.
But it's all around if we could but perceive.
To know ultra-violet, infra-red and X-rays,
Beauty to find in so many ways.
Two notes of the chord, that's our fluoroscope.
But to reach the chord is our lifes hope.
And to name the chord is important to some.
So they give a word, and the word is OM. http://www.musicsonglyrics.com/M/moodyblueslyrics/moodybluesthewordlyrics.htm

Golden Mean Pentagram

"Legend recounts how Orpheus was given a lyre by Apollo…by playing his lyre, Orpheus produced harmonies that joined all of nature together in peace and joy. Inspired by this Orphic tradition of music and science, Pythagoras of Samos conducted perhaps the world’s first physics experiment. By playing strings of different lengths, Pythagoras discovered that sound vibrations naturally occur in a sequence of whole tones or notes that repeat in a pattern of seven. Like the seven naturally occurring colors of the rainbow, the octave of seven tones".
‘The Harmonic Lyre’ by Stephen Ian McIntosh

another excerp:
PHI Ratio and the Musical Fifth

In the book ‘The Power of Limits’, architect Gyorgy Doczi surveys the similarity between the sacred geometry proportions in ancient temple construction of the Golden Mean ratio (1.618) and the interval of the fifth in music (1.667). The fifth is the interval found in most sacred music and has a powerful harmonizing effect on the human energy system. The fifth is the first harmonic sounded by a plucked string and gives the note its depth and beauty. This music–geometry connection is well stated in the poet-mystic Goethe’s phrase that ‘sacred architecture (or human body proportion!) is frozen music.’

"Since its discovery by Pythagoras, the fifth has come to be universally recognized for its beauty…the fifth is an archetypal expression of harmony that demonstrates the ‘fitting together’ of microcosm and macrocosm in an inseparable whole. The fifth is a beautiful sound because it demonstrates how the universe works." ‘The Harmonic Lyre’ Stephen Ian McIntosh

All of creation expresses itself through number and number is frequency, manifest as color, sound and form, and even as emotion and states of consciousness. The effects of harmonious design based on sacred proportions can be experienced first hand when one enters an ancient temple in Egypt or a Gothic cathedral, such as Chartres. The effect can be immediately sensed as harmonious, powerful and centering, and being inside a space designed with sacred proportions helps us to access other dimensions of consciousness.

"The most common proportions found in ancient Egyptian temple architecture correspond to the most harmonious intervals found in music: the octaves, fifths, fourths, thirds and sixths. In the temple of Horus at Edfu, the dimensions of one chamber's measurements of width to height equaled 2:3, which defines an interval of a fifth in music. ‘Rediscovering Music in the Architecture of Egyptian Temples’ by Antoine Seronde.

This expansion and transformation experienced by being inside a sacred space, can also be reached directly through listening to sacred music, or ‘aural geometry’. Most divinely inspired music, such as Gregorian chant, some ‘new age’ music, and the music of indigenous cultures, features the musical interval of the fifth. An easy way to understand a musical ‘fifth’, would be to use the white keys of a piano, and play middle C and counting C as the first note, play the fifth key up, which is G.

... the Egyptians utilized musical scales analogous to our own. The positions of the harpists' hands on the strings clearly indicate ratios such as the fourth, fifth and octave, revealing an unquestionable knowledge of the laws governing musical harmony. Lucy Lamy, Egyptian Mysteries (Thames and Hudson 1981)

The basic chords of most western music are made of a combination of a fundamental tone, a fifth with a third, or in the case of a C chord, the notes C-E-G, the first, third and fifth notes. However, when we leave out the third (E), the chord sounds distinctly ancient or sacred. I can remember that when I first began teaching myself to play the harp, I tended to play mostly in fifths, just because I liked the sound and the feeling effect of being centered and expanded when playing them. At that time I was not consciously aware of the harmonious principles at work. During those early days of my ‘harping’, I had a music colleague who played in symphony orchestras, who commented: ‘didn’t I play anything other than temple music?’

Another excerp:
Author John Michell has researched the tradition of ‘perpetual choirs’, in ancient Britain. According to Michell, these choirs were maintained in Britain in at least three sites: Glastonbury, STONEHENGE and Llantwit Major in Wales, which together form the rim of a circle in the landscape, with the center at an old Druid site called Whiteleafed Oak. He found the distances between these sacred sites to be equal and corresponding to sunrise points and sacred proportions. Similarly, sacred sites in other cultures were also laid out in geometric relationship, and were maintained with sacred music and chant, which were synchronized with the seasons and cosmic cycles.

Until very recent times gold was used as a heart remedy,
this being the organ associated with the sun.
The sun manifests the colour of gold at sunrise and at sunset.
The latin word for gold, aurum (thus, the chemical symbol Au),
derives from the Greek word Aurora - the golden goddess of the dawn.
Rudolf Steiner gave ‘AU’ as the Sun-sound, so try intoning it.
The word ‘aura’ comes from the same root, indicating the idea of
radiance as associated with this metal.
Until very recent times gold was used as a heart remedy, this being
the organ associated with the sun. Homeopathic doctors still use it
in this manner in high dilutions and regard it as a remedy for depressive
or suicidal conditions: a ‘total eclipse of the heart’. Its distribution
within the human organism reaches its highest concentration in the
region of the heart. Gold is used by doctors to diagnose heart problems.
As the highest concentrations of gold in the human body occur around
the heart, a radio-isotope of gold has been developed (the Au-195 isotope),
which can give an image of the blood-containing structures within the heart,
a process called 'heart-imaging'. Gold gives a heart image! In Britain this
new technology has been developed in St. Bartholomew's hospital,
London. One expert described the gold used in this way as 'a very
convenient medium for rapid assessment of changes in cardiac function' (3,4).
Economically, gold functions as a kind of heart-centre which maintains and
guarantees a circulation of paper money.
Cows have the highest concentration of gold in their horns.

A bit from Al Gore:
Gore argues that another misconception is that we need to balance environmentalism with economic impact. Showing a picture of the earth and a pile of gold bars in balance, Gore notes, "If we don't have a planet..." and trails off to laughter. If we do the right thing, he argues, we'll create a lot of wealth and a lot of jobs. Right now, we can't sell cars in China, because we can't meet their environmental standards. http://www.worldchanging.com/archives/004139.html

Scientists work out origins of gold

A group of British and Swiss scientists says it may have solved the mystery of where gold comes from.

The earth does not have the extremes of pressure and temperature needed to create such dense metals and calculations by the team back up a theory that they were formed before the creation of the planet.

It's believed the metals are a by-product of nuclear reactions triggered by collisions between super-dense old stars -- objects up to a million times heavier than earth, but measuring only a few miles across.

The explosions threw the gold, platinum and other dense metals into space, polluting the gas around them, which then cooled into stars and planets such as earth, encasing deposits of gold within them.

From the newsroom of the BBC World Service http://www.abc.net.au/science/news/enviro/EnviroRepublish_1032376.htm

BY THE WAY!

The word "GOLD" can also be used in another way.....

OIL IS BLACK GOLD.
So think of the oil being taken from the Earth and such drilling damaging the earth and
linked to some earthquakes.
Not to forget, both gold and black
gold(oil) linked to reasons for much wars.

So ancient TREE DEATH=Oil/coal/diamonds....not gold....but black gold and (crystals?) gems such as a diamond.

RAINBOWS...MISSOURI... THE OZARKS AND SAINT FRANCOIS MOUNTAINS...

Etymology of the name is a subject of speculation.

Other possible derivations include "aux arcs" meaning "toward the arches"[5] in reference to the dozens of natural bridges formed by erosion and collapsed caves in the Ozark region. These include Clifty Hollow Natural Bridge (actually a series of arches) in Missouri,[6] and Alum Cove in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest. It is even suggested "aux arcs" is an abbreviation of "aux arcs-en-ciel", French for "TOWARD THE RAINBOWS" which are a common sight in the mountainous regions. After the Louisiana Purchase, American travelers in the region referred to various features of the upland areas using the term "Ozark", such as "Ozark Mountains" and "Ozark forests." By the early 20th century, "The Ozarks" had become a generic term.[7][8]

The Saint Francois Mountains, a range located in southeast Missouri, is an outcrop of Precambrian igneous rock mountains rising over the Ozark Plateau. This range is one of the oldest exposures of igneous rock in North America. The range is often misspelled as St. Francis to match the local pronunciation.

Formed through volcanic and intrusive activity over 1.4 billion (1.4 x 109) years ago, nothing is left of these mountains but the roots. By comparison, the Appalachians started forming about 460 million years ago, and the Rockies a mere 70 million years ago. When the Appalachians started forming, the St. Francois range was already twice as old as the Appalachians are today.

Unlike the rest of the mountainous areas in the Ozarks, the Saint Francois Mountains were formed by true volcanic activity. The localized vertical relief observed in most of the Ozarks, a dissected plateau, was caused by erosion. The volcanic activity that formed this mountain range is also thought to be the geological cause of the uplift of the Ozark Plateau. Geologists talk of the "Ozark dome" wherein elevations and stratigraphic inclines generally radiate down from the Saint Francois mountains.THESE ELEVATIONS MAY BE THE ONLY AREA IN THE AMERICAN MIDWEST NEVER TO HAVE BEEN SUBMERGED,EXSISTING AS AN ISLAND ARCHIPELAGO IN THE PALEOZONIC SEAS. (THIS RELATES TO EDGAR CAYCE AND HIS READING OF THE LAND IN THE ATLANTEAN TIMES)Fossilized coral, the remains of ancient reefs, can be found among the rocks around the flanks of the mountains. These ancient reef complexes formed the localizing structures for the mineralizing fluids that resulted in the rich ore deposits of the area.

The St. Francois Mountains are the center of the Missouri mining region yielding; iron, lead, barite, zinc, silver, manganese, cobalt, and nickel ores as well as granite and limestone quarries. Historic Mine La Motte near Fredericktown was the site of lead mining activity by the French as early as 1720. An old granite quarry lies on the edge of Elephant Rocks State Park which is a spectacular outcropping of huge weathered granite boulders.

Mountains in this range include; Taum Sauk Mountain, Bell Mountain, Proffit Mountain, Pilot Knob Mountain, Hughes Mountain, Goggin Mountain, and Lead Hill Mountain. The elevations range from 500 feet to 1,772 feet (167 to 540 meters). Taum Sauk Mountain is the highest peak in the range, and the highest point in the state, with an elevation of 1772 ft. (540 m).

Hughes Mountain contains a good example of columnar jointing in igneous rhyolite, the same process that formed Devils Tower. The columnar jointing in this area is called the Devil's Honeycomb.

A part of the Ozark Trail winds through parts of the St. Francois Mountains, including a popular section that crosses Taum Sauk and Proffit mountains
