or should that be lexigrammers opinions?
Well "Lexigrammers'" opinion would be grammatically correct.

what in your opinion is/are the most perfect names?
In answer to your query;
MOST COMMON letter frequency found within the ENGLISH LANGUAGE:
E-T-A-O-I-N
The following are the MOST COMMON frequencies to be found within PERSONAL NAMES.

would you be looking for names which revealed the most positive words, or contained the least negs?
One's name is what it is. Positives and or negatives are relative. See this link for explanation on that issue.
NEGATIVE WORDS IN A LEXIGRAM
quote:
how would you advise naming a baby? what would one want to take into account? would the last name have a bearing??
I would do a COMPATIBILITY report based on the names of the parents or whatever names or even words the baby's name would be derived from. For example:
One could say "I want to know what these words Lexigram into because I want these attributes in his/her name.(The baby)
HANDSOME-WISE-STRONG
or
BEAUTY-CHARM-INTELLIGENCE
A report using strings of words as illustrated above, using words as its base will yield NAMES and or WORDS, or BOTH NAMES and WORDS.
A report based on the Parents' names or any names, such as a grandparent(s) or even a famous person's name;
1. Would show what NAMES each person has as individuals="UNIQUE".
2. What NAMES BOTH have in common, ie;SHARE="COMPATIBILITY".
3. What NAMES can be only found in a blend of all names, and not in common, nor as unique individuals.="UNION".
As to relevancy of the baby's last name:
Yes the last name does have bearing!
If the last names of the parents or whomever are the same, one would generally only use the last name once to Lexigram. However if the First and or Middle name, or both are short, one can use the two same last names twice.
Additionally, if the two people's names have different last names, both last names would be used to find all the NAMES and or WORDS.
Once a name has been chosen for the baby then normal Lexigramming as for anyone would be in order. Then if the resulting Lexigram, or the word list is not of a satisfactory nature adjustments to the chosen name can be done.
