Been trying to get a better color/tone balance. Will probably do a new version sometime. But for now a resizing and balance adjustment. Not sure which I prefer. I think I need to redo it from scratch perhaps. LOVE SIGNS IP: Logged |

LEXX Very apt lexigrams! Does this mean you have read the book "Linda Goodman's Love Signs" in full? What do you think about the book? I think almost all these lexigrams reflect the nature of the book perfectly. But..."IN LOVING ONE'S EGO, GONE IS LOVE"? That depends on how one defines EGO. Either the "ego" with a small case "e" meaning the centering of one's mental consciousness, or the "Ego" with a capital "E" meaning the Higher Self, or the Self, or the Spirit (with a capital "S"), that is the highest level of the individual's consciousness, hardly ever reached by most people, and is the most enlightened part of the whole being. So...in my view, "IN LOVING ONE'S EGO, GONE IS LOVE", may indicate that by being egocentric/self-centered/selfish, love is gone. D IP: Logged |

YES! AND I LOVE IT! It is my favorite book of hers! quote: I think almost all these lexigrams reflect the nature of the book perfectly.

I agree! That is one reason I do not like putting Lexigrams in ALL CAPS. If one has no errors, no added letters...or words...not found in the source, here being "Love Signs"......then ALL CAPS is not needed. My next version will be not in ALL CAPS...to better reflect the BIG difference in meaning between the ego centric Ego/EGO and ego/self awareness. Hugs! Love Lexx

My pleasure, LEXX! quote: YES! AND I LOVE IT! It is my favorite book of hers!
Good for you, LEXX! So now you are far better acquainted with the basic twelve Sun sign characteristics than you used to be? I purchased my copy a long, long time ago, and would read one bit then another, jumping from chapter to chapter, reading only the Sun sign combinations that interested me. But then it came the time that I realized that there was hidden treasure in this book, and I wanted to read it in full, and following the chapter order, from start to finish, just like Linda's advice on how to read her other book "Star Signs", and so far I am two-thirds way through the book. There is indeed hidden treasure in "Love Signs", and Linda wrote about many of her ideologies and discoveries linked to those in "Star Signs" in "Love Signs", plus some of her observations on the quest of spirituality and the condition of humanity at large, at the same time of outlining the relationship compatibility and interactions of all the combinations of the twelve Sun signs, with more or less generalizations and some rather dreamy, poetic, at times a little far-out, descriptions. Linda had said her own favorite zodiacal sign was Aquarius, and she seemed to present her writing style in "Love Signs" with a lot of "Aquarian" flavor, and especially when she wrote about the sign Aquarius, and solar Aquarians, she would somehow exaggerate the unconventional, unpredictable, eccentric and wild side of the Sun sign nature of Aquarius. She was really fond of the sign Aquarius. quote: Thanks!
Again, you are very welcome, LEXX!! quote: I agree! That is one reason I do not like putting Lexigrams in ALL CAPS. Ditto! And thank you for your insight, LEXX! I've finally realized why resulting lexigrams may not need to be written in all capital letters, because sometimes this might cause confusion of definitions of the lexis! Hugs and kisses!!! D xxxxxxxxx IP: Logged |

DfD! I too bought and read Love Signs long ago. I wore out one copy and finally had to replace it! Star Signs did not impress me at all. I love her Sun Signs very much however! Enjoy your holiday! Hugs and kisses, LEXX!!!I perceive "Sun Signs" as the basic reading material for studying the twelve zodiacal signs and how they influence human beings and other species (e.g. your pet friends like cats, dogs etc)- I utilize the book in a way that making most of the contents as descriptions of Moon signs characters, Linda's physical appearances parts as references for Ascendents/Rising signs descriptions, and the whole chapter of each zodiacal sign as the inner, basic nature of individuals born under the given Sun sign. As for "Star Signs", it is not an impeccable work, nevertheless it does contain some pearls of wisdom. I am surprised to hear that this book did not impress you at all. Could you elaborate why you didn't like "Star Signs" very much, LEXX? I find certain teachings from the book misleading, but some facts, legends, prophecies and theories are wonderous to me. I shall get back to you on my views. I would rather point to specifics rather than generalizations. I did find parts I liked or agreed with. However much was simply too new age for my tastes.Hope life is being kind to you DfD! PS.If you could, please refer me to the parts and PAGE NUMBERS that you liked in Star Signs and I will look and see whether we agree or not. Either way, it could lead to interesting discussions! ------------------ Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. IP: Logged |

LEXX,Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I have lost both my copies of "Star Signs", and I cannot refer you to the exact page numbers. Nevertheless, I believe by specifying the particular parts of the book, it may lead to an interesting discussion. That will be left for a later time as I am running way out of time online today. Thanks for your good wishes for me. Life is not too bad for me recently. I've been visiting sites where there are cherry blossoms, and it's always a rewarding experience to return to nature and appreciate its beauty. D xxxxxxxxx IP: Logged |
