And I couldn't use Woodcutter, so you have a Joiner instead. I have a friend who describes himself as a joiner as he says women get snobby if he tells them he is a carpenter. Joiner gets them thinking. So that is a little nod to him. IP: Logged |

deuxantares! quote: Lexx, thanks! That's an interesting bit of info for me (non-native English speaker). I am enjoying this story so far. Go on, go on!
You are very welcome! In Lexigramming one cannot always have perfect grammar, being it is more important to use only the available letters, adding none not allowed. Punctuation becomes even more important also, then when simply writing a story. See this book for some fun with English! Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation is a non-fiction book written by Lynne Truss http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eats,_Shoots_&_Leaves:_The_Zero_Tolerance_Approach_ to_Punctuation ------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________

Your friend's experience...I love it! And your use of JOINER'S in lieu of CARPENTER or WOODCUTTER was innovative! OOOPS! quote: THUNDER RAGED AL(L) AROUND, BUT BRAVELY HE LEFT HIS HUT.
Can NOT have "ALL". There are not two copies of the letter "L".How about this": THUNDER RAGED AROUND HIM, BUT BRAVELY HE LEFT HIS HUT.... or THUNDER RAGED AROUND HIM, BUT BRAVELY HE LEFT HIS ABODE.... or THUNDER RAGED AROUND HIS HUT, BUT BRAVELY HE LEFT IT.... or THUNDER RAGED ABOVE HIS ABODE, YET BRAVELY HE WENT OUTSIDE.... I know I can be a pain with my editing pen, changing posts. I'm blaming the astrological combo of Virgo MC and Mercury in Taurus. It's the stars, not me!IP: Logged |

UH OH! I found we both made a goof! I had to change my line because I accidentally inserted the word "GAZING! Ouch! an extra letter "G"! And you goofed too here with this line: WHAT IS GOING ON? HE ASKED HIMSELF. Seems we both goofed and had invalid words having two copies of the letter "G" So how shall your goofed line be fixed? Maybe.... "WHAT IS THIS STORM DOING? HE ASKED HIMSELF." or "WHY ARE THE STORM WINDS SO WILD? HE ASKED HIMSELF. or Any other ideas to replace the line that has "GOING in it? ------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________ IP: Logged |

We can worry about good punctuation later...The story thus far! quote: ONCE UPON A TIME LONG AGO.... BELOW THE SURFACE OF A MURKY LAKE... LIVED A SOFT VOICED SULTRY WATER SPRITE... WHO LOVED TO GAZE UPON ONE STAR THEN MAKING A WISH FOR TRUE LOVE SHE LEAPT TOWARDS THE SKY IN JOY WHILST REACHING OUT TO TOUCH THE ONE SILVERY... CLOUD ABOVE. A SHARP NOISE BROKE INTO HER DREAMS. IT WAS THE THUNDER GOD THOR, SON OF ODIN, WHO... WAS JEALOUS SHE COULD THINK OF ANOTHER THE THUNDER BOLTS HE THREW FLASHED IN THE NIGHT SKY SHE QUICKLY DOVE BACK INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE LAKE THE WILD WINDS BLEW ABOVE THE LAKE, THE WAVES CRASHED... AND YET THOR'S HEART WOULD NOT CALM ITSELF. AS THE RAGE OF ANGRY THOR SHAKED THE EARTH WHILST SHE HID, TREMBLING IN HER WATERY CAVE IN THE FOREST, THE JOINER'S SON WAS IN AWE. HE SAT BY AN OAKEN FRAMED PORTAL HIS FATHER MADE "WHY ARE THE STORM WINDS SO WILD?" HE ASKED HIMSELF. HE LEFT HIS HUT AND WENT OUT INTO THE STORM AS HE WALKED, STRONG VIOLENT WINDS TORE AT HIS CAPE THUNDERCLAPS RANG IN HIS EARS. BUT HE FELT NO FEAR. HE FELT HIMSELF BEING DRAWN DREAMILY TOWARDS THE DARK LAKE LURED BY THE ECHO OF A DULCET SONG
THEN HE SAW HER! HER SOFT SILKEN HAIR, HER SULTRY HYPNOTIC GAZE... THE BEAUTY OF HER SOUL SHONE OUT LIKE A BEACON HER SONG DELIGHTS HIM, IN A DREAMING TRANCE HE WADES INTO THE WATER.. WOULD HE DARE TO FIND HER THIS WOMAN OF LIGHT, OF SOUL, OF HEART A BEING SO VERY MUCH LIKE HIS OWN OR WOULD HE FAIL TO REACH HER?
I am adding the new lines here above as they develop! PS. Feel free to use up to 12 words if you need to but no more! I keep wanting to write several lines at a time!LOL!LEXIGAME RULES ------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________ IP: Logged |
