hello, new to the site. love Linda Goodman's writing. Anyway, I'm in the process of trying to figure the fate of a particular relationship and some of the surrounding circumstances of the relationship. After reading Star Signs, I began looking for the answer through lexigramming. My question is, can you lexigram a question? Such as, "will I get a new job within a year?" Keep in mind that this is a sample question; the question that I actually posed to the universe resulted in some answers that puzzled me even further. I'm totally new to the process and don't want to obssess over something that could have been illconceived. PLEASE advise.IP: Logged |

semicharmdsweeT Yes! Questions are fine! FYI I do not adhere to Linda's method. Do not worry about to many vowels or consonants. Do not drop any letters nor add ones you do not have. Simply phrase your question as simply as possible. If you do not have a very long line, you can use the link posted at this thread to get your words! http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/001842.html IP: Logged |

Hello, and welcome to LL, semicharmdsweeT !Well, my personal opinion is that you can technically lexigram anything you want. However, I don't know how much personally relevant information you'd get from a question, particularly if it is phrased so broadly. "Will I get a new job within a year?" for example, is very broad. There is no name to personalize it. I just don't know how helpful that would be. I've personally never lexigrammed a question such as that. I think that kind of question is better suited to another kind of divination, say tarot cards. Astrology would also be more helpful. That's all just my opinion. Perhaps someone else will pop in and shed a little more light on this for you from their own experience. IP: Logged |

Your sample question leads to ambiguity of answers. Your question: quote: "will I get a new job within a year?"
AAA B EEE G HH IIII J LL NN O R T WWW YAt first glance I see: quote: No new job within a year. Wait another year.
And: quote: A new job to be thine within a year. No new job to be thine within a year.
Ambiguity as I said. Horary or Tarot might be a better divination method in such a situation...as Eleanore suggested! quote: I think that kind of question is better suited to another kind of divination, say tarot cards. Astrology would also be more helpful.

Thanks Eleanore! quote: "Will I get a new job within a year?" for example, is very broad. There is no name to personalize it. I just don't know how helpful that would be.
A name is not required but it does help hone the question to the querant. I also suggest that it needs to be specific, such as for example: quote: Will I get the Director position soon?
Or.. quote: Will I get hired by Rockwell this year?
Again, ambiguity reigns. So Astrology or Tarot are better suited to questions of this type. Will I get the Director position soon? Lexigrams to: quote: No, I will not get the Director position soon.
quote: I will get the Director position soon!
Will I get hired by Rockwell this year? Lexigrams to: quote: Yes, I will get hired by Rockwell this year!
Then by a simple rephrasing the answer becomes a no. quote: Will Rockwell hire me soon?
It Lexigrams to: No If a name is added it could help. But again, it could still result in ambiguity of answers. IP: Logged |

thanks for the friendly welcome and quick response. i suppose that i should not have used such a broad example. the real statement (i made the mistake of referring to it as a question earlier, however its good to know that questions CAN be lexigrammed) that i posed to the universe is actually about my boyfriend, and was more specific (i included his name and his desires). i could use some help: "william wants to move to another state". i discovered some nasty things...things i'd rather not visualize. if possible, i could use the help of the forum; i'll reveal my hidden answer after i've compared with the forum. deal?
