Wow. I brought it up to my husband, but I did look at the prices and they're a little out of our range for our plans. :/

But I think we'll make a stop in that area anyway. It sounds magical.

I don't know much about yoga, honestly. Realistically, I know nothing except that when my body needs to stretch, I do what it tells me to do, and I notice that a lot of yoga poses are basically the same thing that I'm doing by just listening to my body.

But the meditation aspect of it and the poses combined, not so much. I was always more into martial arts, but I could stand to quiet my mind considerably.

I think my father in-law's wife goes to those retreats. They stay in California for six months out of the year, and I know that she will disappear for a few days on retreats where she doesn't speak the entire time.

I'll ask her.
And thank you for bringing it up!

I think there are places in Big Sur like that as well, really it's just a very cool place.

Expensive, though.

I think it's supposed to be actually sunny and warm(ish) here for the next few days. Maybe the rest of our little crocuses will be able to stretch out into the sunshine a little bit.

It will be a nice change from the downpours that we've been getting, and the cool temperatures.

When I lived in the Foghorn Belt in the Fifth or Sixth Grade, I wrote my first Poem.

It was about Rain.

(In fact, it was called Rain.)

It's kind of funny, I'm just reading the part in "Gooberz" where she's talking to Spirit, and learning that the places without sufficient amounts of rain are the focus of too much negativity.

I had been telling someone about this, and pointing out that a little more compassion could be expressed, and maybe the drought would end, and now I read this. Pretty Cool.

As much Compassion as you have; Violets, I am truly not surprised that rain would come.

Cause you're a Real Sweetheart.

A little Sunshine for You:

Aw, thank you!

I haven't read Gooberz since I was a teenager. I think it's time to buy another copy (sadly, I lost my first copy that my aunt got me for my birthday as a kid).

That's interesting about rain and compassion. I'm sure I've mentioned the dry, barren climate where I grew up, and I've always noticed a distinct lack of compassion there. But there is at least enough water for well water and irrigation, so I suppose it could be worse.

Time to go get my next copy of Gooberz!

Mine was only ten bucks!

Shipping was half the amount again. (Big Book)

If you got yours for your Birthday from Amanda, Leroma (?) and Jack, I might have yours...

(Can't quite make out the name.) Kid wrote just like me, though!

No exes or hearts for the i dots...

It's Really Good, Violets.

I'm almost done with it, and I purposely slowed down, just because I don't want it to end.

Well, and because this part requires deep thought too.

Little more difficult to comprehend.

Hrmphh. It's 45 degrees and raining hard, and supposed to drop a light bit of snow tomorrow. My poor little tulips. They're trying very hard to bloom.

Spring doesn't really come around here until late April these past few years. But then...OH YEAH.

It's really Wonderful how this one is set.

He put the two Wisterias caddy-corner (garden-edge) in synergistic union with the deciduous oak trees.

So you not only attract the bees during the orchard blossom season, the oak trees are still dormant.

All you see is a cascading waterfall of fragrant lavendar-coalescing beauty seemingly leading you up to the Very Heavens...

Oh goodness, that one got lost in the shuffle.

Tulips are very hardy, mine are putting out buds right now as well.

You know, I went to School for the express purpose of learning exactly what would grow in my area.

I mentally ear-marked all those things; even unto the exclusion of all else, so that I wish I had kept an open mind on all plants, just a teeny-bit more...

You just have to go with the flow of the place you live in.

There are things out there, you just have to explore your options.

I'm very sorry, I know you are going through a lot, and I'm not trying to be uncaring, I really do care very much.

It probably just brings back a time I have difficulty dealing with.

I'm Sorry, Violets.

Ellyn

Thanks, Ellyn.

I didn't think that you were being uncaring at all.
Yes, it's hard right now. But hopefully things will be brighter soon.

Hope your gardening troubles turned out okay.

I can't even comprehend the magnitude of that. That's actually similar to the Monsanto beginning.

They wanted to get rid of the corn ear borer, which is a worm.

Unfortunately, so is a Butterfly...

I'm so, so sorry

Oh, yay! I have some flowers coming up, and leaves starting to bud on the trees.
