Thanks for all the responses on this post while I have been "away". Especially from Randall. You are awesome! Haha. Coming back to see these posts made my day. Sorry, I've been studying hard. Not much of a christmas break for me. I'm sure you can relate, Randall. Anyway, I still haven't been able to make the pouch. I haven't really been able to find the right place to get all the ingredients. I have only lived in my current city for a few months, so I haven't properly orientated myself yet. She's a Taurus though so I have some time. Funnily enough my friend gave ME a herbal pouch to have under my pillow (as a christmas gift). It's a lavender one, aids sleep. I always thought those little things were supposed to go in your sock or underwear drawer or something (to make them smell good, I don't know?). I guess I must have misunderstood. Her expression when I said I would stuff her gift in my sock drawer was priceless. I do have a rose quartz and a love pouch under my pillow. I too sometimes carry a rose quartz or amethyst in my pocket. No love for me yet though I'm afraid! But that's my own fault. I've been on plenty of dates. So I suppose it may have helped. To be honest I don't think I genuinely want love at the moment, so the poor rose quartz is going to have a hard time making it happen all by itself. Ps. Happy new year! IP: Logged |

The rose quartz only makes opportunities available. You have to seize them.IP: Logged |

A digression,With this particular friend - at ANOTHER time she was experiencing a difficult love - At one time several years back we made our own (Wicca-ish) ceremony where we bought a bunch of herbs and spices that we could find associated with love (I think I recall Nutmeg as an odd example, rosemary another). She then wrote down all her feelings on pieces of paper, we put it all in a pouch, put on long ball gowns, made a fire outside in her garden (in late November), and burned it all on the fire - to signify she was drawing a line (end) and jumping over it. I don't think it really matters what we put in that pouch but the symbolism and the clear marking of it made it a really powerful marking/process for her. She got over it really quickly after that. We did it at a juncture where she was resigned and ready to move on, but somehow still holding on by a few threads to a difficult situation. I can recommend trying this in a similar situation. The symbolism of getting dressed up (marking the importance of the occasion), writing down your feelings and burning them (a pretty strong message), is a powerful thing. As an update my friend is now in a great place in her love life with a stable partner of several years that she is now living with. We now live in different countries, but a few days ago she asked if we can skype and I'm wondering if she may have happy news. We'll see. Either way she got to a place where she was ready to be happy, to require more from the people around her and not willing to settle for hopeless situations. She's happy and no matter how her partner feels or where he moves in his life, I think she will continue to be so because I feel she has the will and strength and self-love now to make sure of it. Hugs to all, Sibyl IP: Logged |
