I put dried peonies on a garland for winter solstice. I used it as bedroom décor. And then bathed with them the next day. IP: Logged |

I bathed in sophora flowers today. Said to be good for beauty, and ridding of evil spirits as the bath water was cooling my husband and I had an argument about my possessions. I stood up for myself. We resolved it, he said sorry and then I sat in the bath. IP: Logged |

Ugh. It’s pouring rain, and the beautiful bouquet of Siberian iris that I cut yesterday is still just sitting out in the middle of the yard getting wrecked. (Aside from smell, that’s the other reason I typically bother with bringing flowers indoors.)IP: Logged |

I managed to keep some paperwhite narcissus alive and dormant in pots all through the summer. They just started coming up, so I should have some nice-smelling indoor bouquets in about a month.IP: Logged |

My timing was way off— the plants are doing fine, but not a flower bud in sight so far. Maybe next month. I’m starting a new holiday tradition of making a wreath of birch twigs. (They smell good, and the leftovers can be used to make tea.) I’m thinking maybe I’ll use the old one from last year to start a little ceremonial fire.IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing chantrel!I did not know this at the time but babies breath can be for everlasting love. In my experience, if you want to live in denial when being with the wrong person. Don't use flowers. LOL When I did flower stuff I noticed a pattern of getting in an argument with my now ex husband. IP: Logged |

I am pretty paycheck to paycheck right now. So now that its spring I am planning on picking some indigo snowdrops that grow along the side of the house. They really seem to represent transitions and that things will get better to me. After a while I'll probably put them in a sachet. Or do some kind of witchcraft. IP: Logged |

In January I think, I was feeling a strong need to up the vibes in my living space. I picked up some magenta roses with babies breath. My funds were starting to get low around this time. But it was worth it. And I am in a better place financially now. I dried the flowers after sometime and have them on my "alter/desk" and in sachets. IP: Logged |
