To all the Taureans out there ~ and to the Scorpios (sorry guys, I really don't mean to burst your bubble about your reputation but I came across this and thought, wow ~ interesting read.Enjoy! Taurus, like the preceding Aries, is a survivor. While Aries goes chasing after what it wants, Taurus quietly draws toward itself those things and circumstances that are necessary for the sustenance of physical life. It represents the attracting force, and magnetizes things into manifestation. It is focused on sensuality and pleasure. It runs on the pleasure-seeking, pain-avoiding dynamic. It likes things nice and easy. Taurus is the sign of fundamental sexuality. It represents the basic drive to pleasure the body and is essentially masturbatory. Satisfaction and contentment come through connecting with that which gives sensual gratification. It does not matter where it comes from so long as there is more of it. The Greek word “epithymia,” meaning something akin to “horniness,” but not quite lust, gives a sense of what Taurus is about. It is voluptuousness waiting to be violated. Taurus really is the sex fiend of the zodiac, although Scorpio has that reputation. Scorpio draws a great sense of power from “violating” and pleasuring that voluptuousness! There are no inhibitions with the pure Taurus archetype. It is a very personal and pre-moral sign. Its mottoes might be, “If it feels good, do it,” and “Try it, you’ll like it!” Oral gratification is the first pleasure, and Taurus’ first love is really good food and sweet things. Watch a Taurus eat an ice cream cone! There is something almost embarrassingly erotic about it. Though it is a feminine sign, the men born under it can be exceedingly attractive, handsome to a degree that one could call beautiful. They are slow moving and seem sensually inviting. Their passive quality is sweetly enticing. It is as though they are waiting to be seduced. The very fact that you sense they will not “come on” to you and seem non-threatening makes them all the more alluring.

Cassy : Being a Scorp I am always attracted to Taurus men and I would agree. I can't disagree. Scorpios are over rated in a way. Love to both Scorpios and Taureans though. IP: Logged |

Regarding the Taurus sensory experience and its 'masturbatory' essence (hahaha!), I think the focus of this article has mainly been on the pleasures of sex and the body, which is true. Although, for Taurus, this sensual desire extends far beyond the body, it can include the appreciation of a beautiful sunrise, the peace and deeply connected feeling of sitting silently in a forest breathing in the surroundings, the touching of an object, or being touched, the beautiful game (football hehe sorry about that example, but isnt is just poetry!?).I have a lot of Taurus in my chart, and I agree that the mind is very aware of the bodies sensations and sexual sensitivity. And beyond this, I know if I reach down to pick up soil in my hand, I lose myself rubbing its texture between my fingers, a tranquil emptiness calms me and I feel energised, or the sweet smell of a freshly cut lawn, bliss. I love to be touched, every flicker of caress is felt right within my core. Good article, and I guess my point is.. even football can be sexual. Ahh I've gone too far now havnt I IP: Logged |

I'm a Virgo rising with Virgo Pluto opp Pisces moon, so sexually, I far more on that axis, which is intensely sexual yet on a very different vibration than the Taurus-Scorpio axis. To me, that kind of sexually is too (to be blunt) dull, predictable and conventional (that's also my Aqua Mars talking). It's what you are indoctrinated by society to expect what "sexy" should be. I don't like that overtness, vulgerness or overexposure - I prefer the quirky sexual curiousity of Virgo and the intuitive, fluid, mystical sexuality of Pisces. I prefer to be a sexual partner that's more suited for a *very* intimate encounter than a soft porn movie or a Maxim cover, which is (honestly) how I see what they described. When I read that, I thought about someone like Carmen Electra or Jessica Alba, who are both beautiful women, but to me their sexual auras seem very conventional. "mechanical" and way overexposed. Just goes to show, sexuality is a very personal matter and thus is as unique as anything else about us.

I agree with you about the more mysterious and subtle sexual demeanour GN The Taurean sensual nature isnt vulgar though, just earthy, natural. I also have virgo rising and pluto in my 1st house, I think the vulgarity and plain-to-see over the top sex is normally a result of afflicted planets on the whole, rather than the pure influence of one signIP: Logged |

I quite like the 'femme fatale' label. Deadly, perhaps, but due to their strong and raw sexuality and sensuality, cunning intelligence, ability to manipulate with their femininity in an erotic way albeit a stylish, womanly one, challenging gender roles and other 'female' stereotypes. Doing as opposed just thinking, chutzpah, able to discern what is complete and utter bull****, tantalizing dichotomy between vulnerability and steely strength. There are a few Taurean ladies who I think could embody it: Cate Blanchett, Uma Thurman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Catherine the Great, Edie Sedgwick, Debra Winger, Andrea Corr (well...maybe not her because she exudes sweetness, but her beauty is intoxicating).IP: Logged |

I agree with Betelgeuse. I have Taurus rising & moon and I love touching and being touched. I'm always touching and rubbing my boyfriend, just the feel of his skin on my hands is a sensual experience for me. And ofcourse the eating part, I love everything exotic and out of the ordinary. I also have Scorpio in my chart: Mars, Jupiter and descendant, so I'm quite attracted to Scorpios.IP: Logged |

Sue, that's a very nice compliment. If I remember correctly you have a Taurus moon. That's really a double dose of s.s. You must really be a handful. On another note: Yay... I think that was my 100th post. IP: Logged |

With a stellium in Taurus 9th house (Sun/Venus/Mercury/Ceres/Hades/Nessus/MC) The past few months with Transiting Mars over that very house have been explosive. Sexually I am live wire. Emotionally I feel like a test site for the H-Bomb. Right now I should wear a warning lable for all to see. 'Don't look unless you want to touch!'IP: Logged |
